Handy Tool Kit Series – Pliers

We have talked about the vise grip locking pliers and the needle nose pliers so it’s time to talk about the granddaddy of them all:  the standard pliers.  Really, if you are going to carry one set of pliers, this has to be it.  A pair of pliers can solve many of your problems from pulling nails, turning screws and breaking off wire.  Founder/Managing Partner Lamar Hunt Jr. occasionally uses them to hold items he may be working on.  In one instance, he had to paint something real quick and did not have any gloves.  So, he used the pliers to hold the item while he painted it.  Thus, it was the pliers that had paint on them rather than his fingers.  He has also used pliers to hold hot objects preventing him from getting burned.  Pliers are versatile and a must for any handyman’s handy tool kit.  In fact, along with the hammer and the screwdriver, the standard pliers are one of the founding fathers of the tool kit.   For more real estate tips on this subject or other subjects, see our blog at  https://lorettoproperties.com/.  You can also call us at 913-236-2902 if you have a property to sell.
