Signs Work

Founder/Managing Partner Lamar Hunt Jr. knows real estate agents understand the value of signs. That’s why as soon as a house is listed, the agent rushes a sign out there. First, the agent understands that a sign brings in buyers for the property. That is the most important reason. You can’t sell a property if no one knows it’s for sale. Next, a buyer who sees the sign may need an agent to show them the property or another property in the neighborhood. The agent selling it can act as both. That way, they make a double commission as the buyer’s and seller’s agent. Finally, a nice reason agents love those yard signs is for people in the same neighborhood who are thinking about selling their house. They may just call up the same agent and list their house. More listings means more commissions and potentially more buyers to represent which means more sellers that will see their signs. When the agent gets an offer that is accepted, they usually rush out to the property and put up a Pending sign. When the house closes, they put up a Sold sign and leave it up as long as they can. It’s all good advertising. So, now you know the value of the signs.
