Handy Tool Kit Series – WD 40

The squeaky wheel gets the grease…or WD 40 in today’s world.  Founder/Managing Partner Lamar Hunt Jr. finds WD 40 to be a lifesaver when showing properties.  Many times, when setting up a unit to show to a prospective tenant, Lamar will find a squeaky door or something that needs lubrication.  He will head out to his car and grab a can of WD 40.  In less than a minute, problem solved.  Another little handy feature of WD 40 that most don’t know about is that for small grease stains, WD 40 can remove them by spraying directly on the stain and wiping with a rag.  You can also spray WD 40 on the rag and wipe it off.  That may work better.  There is one warning with WD 40:  the smell.  While many craftsman and mechanics like the smell, a prospective tenant may not.  So, be aware of spraying too much and creating too big an odor.  For more real estate tips on this subject or others, see our blog at  https://lorettoproperties.com/.  You can also call us at 913-236-2902 if you have a property to sell.
